Kaon ta Bai! Cebu’s Best Food Trip Places

May 17, 2021 | Cebu City Tour

From your everyday delight to any midnight cravings, the city offers a whole lot of gastronomic adventure for your palettes to enjoy. The burst of flavor from the best Cebuano meals is indeed a surprise. While the city is too big for you to travel in a day, it sure is a delight to visit and take a bite into some of the city’s scrumptious dishes.

If you’re second guessing as to where you’d want to go, you might want to check Punta-  Labangon area. Labangon houses a number of delicious food stalls. You’d drool yourself with the affordable dimsum, great food options and, of course, desserts.

Whether you’re hungry or just want to satisfy your food bump you’d want to try and follow this list.

1. Dibs on the Dimsum

Credits to Bradex

Who doesn’t want dimsum? If you’ve a friend who doesn’t, you don’t need that negative vibe. Dimsum is a hungry man’s best friend. When you’re in Tisa, head straight to Braddex and eat your dimsum fix. For a good 35 pesos, you’ll have a bowl of steamed rice, what a great deal. Braddex also offers an array of food choices for you: batchoy, bacon wrap, ngohiong, sweet and sour pork, crab pincer and siomai.

While Braddex is indeed a great place to visit, it is packed with joyous diners during peak hours so it’s better to hop on some food places like Kuya Jeff’s Siomai or Way Tugpahay, it also offers great meals and good siomai.

2. “LARANG” AT KUYA SIMO’S

Tisa is not only known as “Siomai Capital of Cebu”, its name has evolved into a local hub for your food crawl. If you’d want to skip siomai for today, I won’t judge, Labangon also offers a savory soup, which is locally known as “Larang”. Larang is a widely popular soup dish in the city. It is a stew made with fish and tomatoes. For those who want to try Larang, Kuya Simo’s is the place to be. Visit their store on Katipunan St., near A. Lopez. and try one of the best Larang in town.

3. Are you on a seafood diet? Bucket Shrimps, it is

I’m sure you’ve been trying to stop yourself from eating a lot during the holidays. It’s hard to say no to Lechon, spaghetti, fruit salad and the all-time favorite lumpia. If you’re the one who just craves seafood than anything else, you’d sure be a fan of I love Bucket Shrimps.

I love Bucket Shrimps, eponymous to its name, you’d surely fall in love with bucket shrimps. They serve ideal food portions that you and your friends will surely love.

4. Meet the meat

Cebuanos love their meat. From humba, kinupusan, sisig to adobo, we’ve been a huge fan of meat. Tucked in the busy street of Tisa is an Adobohan (it definitely has no name). Just beside 7-Eleven is a small cart selling deep fried cuts of meat. But you would immediately distinguish it as it stands apart from the siomai stalls in the corner and the people flocking to guzzle up for dinner.
